This layout is for the younger visitors to our shows (or other events the Club is attending with this layout) to play with. Following an invite to the Slade Green Depot Open Day in July 2017 and it was decided to call the layout Slades Green after the former name of the station that opened in September 1900. The 's' was dropped in September 1953 and has been called Slade Green ever since. The layout reuses tracks and other components from the original Slades Green layout and uses simple DC/analogue Gaugemaster controllers. This new version of the layout is more portable than the original. There is still more work to be done, particularly scenics and buildings.
