Notes

North American Freelance Mining - 1960s.

Quarry Falls is an N gauge layout representing a North American Mining operation. The layout is set around the 1960s, and features various locomotives and stock that would not be out of place for the time period or in a mountainous setting. It operates entirely on DCC via computer control. A Raspberry Pi computer running JMRI has been programmed with a drawing of the layout and the ability to recognise and control all of the points and the trains that are being used.

The layout was bought ready-assembled, but in a tatty condition and in need of a lot of care and attention. The layout itself measures 7ft wide and 3ft deep. The mountains are removable for easy access to the two tunnels.

Including operators’ space (operated from behind).
